Chung Tan is Director for Economic Development at the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce in Arkansas. She is a graduate of the National University of Malaysia and University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Prior to her employment at the Chamber, Chung was an economic development specialist with the City of Monterey Park in California. She previously co-owned a trading company in Malaysia selling disposable healthcare products to Europe. Chung was also the marketing manager for the States of Arkansas and Georgia ASEAN Office in Malaysia. In that capacity, Chung was instrumental in assisting Arkansas and Georgia companies to do business in South-East Asia, China, Australia and New Zealand.
Chung is a member of the Arkansas Economic Developers (AED), American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), and the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). She recently received her certifications as a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), and a Mid-South Economic Development Professional (MSEDP).
Chung is married to Boon Tan, Director of Asia Development of the Arkansas World Trade Center. They have two daughters and two sons.
